Angel Reese of LSU WON'T Commit to Visiting the White House

LSU’s Angel Reese has said that the idea of inviting Iowa to the White House “bothers” her, and she may forego the trip herself as a result.

On Sunday in Dallas, the Lady Tigers trounced the Hawkeyes 102-85, and First Lady Jill Biden, who was present, later suggested that Iowa join the champions in Washington, DC.

Even though her husband, President Joe Biden, appeared to dismiss that idea on Tuesday, Reese hasn’t forgotten about it.

Reese, who received the Most Outstanding Player award, shared a link to a piece about Jill Biden’s comments on Monday. Reese added the phrase “A JOKE” along with three laughing-crying emojis.

We’ll see,” Reese stated. “I’m not sure,”

‘We wouldn’t be welcomed to the White House if we lost,’ said the team. Recall that she said that due to sportsmanship, both teams should be invited. Are you saying that as a result of what I did, I ask?

“Something like that disturbs me because, at the end of the day, you are a woman, whether you are white, black, or Mexican.” Before anything else, you’re meant to be standing behind us.

Reese caused controversy near the end of the national championship when she mocked her rivals by imitating Caitlin Clark’s “you can’t see me” motion and pointing to her ring finger.

‘We can all learn a lot from watching these champions compete,’ the president said, ‘and I look forward to welcoming them at each of their White House visits.’

Following LSU´s victory, coach Kim Mulkey said she would go to the White House if the team, the Tigers, was invited.

There was no immediate comment from Connecticut – the men’s champion – but the team has made the trip to the White House after winning the NCAA title game in prior years.

The president stated, “I look forward to meeting them at each of their White House visits. We can all learn a lot from watching these champions fight.”

After LSU’s triumph, coach Kim Mulkey declared she would visit the White House if the Tigers were given a special invitation.

The men’s champions from Connecticut, who did not immediately respond, had previously visited the White House after winning the NCAA championship game.

According to Vanessa Valdivia, a representative for Jill Biden, the First Lady enjoyed watching the women’s game and had no intention of offending LSU by inviting Iowa to the White House.

Valdivia tweeted on Tuesday that “her statements in Colorado were intended to celebrate the historic game and all women athletes.” She is excited to attend the White House celebration of the LSU Tigers’ championship victory.
