Snapchat released their chatGPT-powered AI chatbot “My AI” in February 2023 in an effort to keep up with the AI race. Up until now, access was restricted to Snapchat+ subscribers alone. This is about to alter drastically. To learn more, continue reading below.
Snapchat is making its My AI chatbot available to all users, as CEO Evan Spiegel announced. My AI is believed to be far more strong and well-rounded in this iteration than in the one before it.
With the latest upgrade, you can personalize your AI’s Bitmoji avatar to make it uniquely yours. My AI will respond to your snaps with text messages. Simply enter “@” and mention My AI in Snapchat Groups and Direct Messages to include My AI in your conversation. You can ask My AI pertinent questions in accordance with the conversation. My AI will have a glitter next to its name, which will let you know what it is.
You can use My AI to get accurate restaurant, location, and other recommendations based on your Snap Map activities. On the basis of the same, it might also suggest AR lenses. Additionally, Snapchat+ subscribers will be able to get a generative snap back from My AI with upcoming upgrades and improvements to the service. Any snap you submit to My AI will be answered by this. It will be a significant advancement in visual conversational AI.
Although My AI has received criticism in the past for dubious outputs and is not flawless, it is thought to have room for accuracy and improvement. With 2 million messages sent every day, it is shown that My AI was already well-liked and utilized by Snapchat+users.
Apart from this announcement, Snapchat also announced Generative AI Lenses, giving you the capability to transform yourself into sci-fi characters using the Cosmic Lens. Snapchat will also make it easier for you to comb through your most relevant and necessary filters. Along with that, you will now be able to add AR to your memories. With new AR experiences and technologies, you will be able to experience live music concerts much more immersively.
