The military head of Ukraine announced on Monday that a bug was discovered in one of his offices. He did not elaborate when he suggested that other sites may have had bugs as well.
In response to the Ukrainian Security Service’s announcement on Sunday that a bug was discovered in a room he used during a regular sweep, Army Cmdr. Valeriy Zaluzhnyi made remarks to the local press. The agency stated that the device was not functional.
Russia was immediately the target of suspicion in the nearly 22-month conflict between the two nations, which is expected to last for another year.
“I work out of many offices. This occurred in one of them, according to Zaluzhnyi. He declared, “We looked through (the room) and found (the device).”
Although he clarified that more than one listening device had been discovered on the grounds of the Ukraine General Staff, he only mentioned that listening devices had been discovered in the office where he worked.
The hazy events raised a lot of unresolved issues. The officials remained silent after that.
Throughout the conflict, both the Russian and Ukrainian intelligence services have been involved.
According to Ukrainian authorities, the head of military intelligence in Ukraine has escaped ten murder attempts by the Russian national security service, or FSB. His wife was diagnosed with heavy metal toxicity and treated in a hospital last month.
Meanwhile, it is said that the espionage agency of Ukraine has been engaged in sabotage activities far from the front lines.
Winter muck and snow are slowing down the battle on the front lines, but artillery bombardments are still killing people.
The president’s administration announced on Monday that during the preceding 24 hours, two civilians from Ukraine had died and at least two had been injured.
According to reports, a civilian was killed in his home and residential buildings were damaged when the Russian army shelled the village of Krasnopillia in the Sumy area to the north. An attack on Kherson City’s center resulted in the death of an 81-year-old man on the street in the south.
