A 45ft-tall Disneyland dragon caught fire during a show in Anaheim, California

The fire caused those in attendance to flee but no injuries or deaths were reported

Elaine Gilmer witnessed the dragon's head glowing and smoke coming out before it caught fire.

Video footage showed the dragon engulfed in flames

Cast members were evacuated from Tom Sawyer Island where the "Fantasmic" show was staged.

The Anaheim fire department reported that no injuries were reported

The cause of the fire was being investigated

The extent of the fire damage was not immediately known

Guests were informed through a loudspeaker that the performance could not continue due to unforeseen circumstances

Tom Sawyer Island has been part of Disneyland since 1956 and allows fans to enter the world of one of Mark Twain's main characters
