Vice President Harris supported the investigations against the former president and said that if it is determined that former President Trump was involved in the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, he should be held accountable.
In a lengthy interview that The Associated Press published on Wednesday, Harris made the claim. She stated that the investigations into Trump must proceed and that, if the evidence warrants it, he should be put on trial.
“Let the evidence, the facts, take it where they may,” Harris replied. “I worked as a prosecutor for the most of my career. I think that the law ought to hold people responsible. And there should be accountability when they breach the law.
She continued, “Democracies are really fragile. “They’ll only be as strong as our determination to defend it,”
